In order to manually create department-wise daily, weekly or even monthly rosters of nurses, a multitude of factors must be taken into consideration before assigning nurses to their shifts, such as accommodating their leaves (scheduled or unscheduled), the fluctuating ward occupancy rates, the competency of the nurses in tandem with the acuity level of the patients, the fatigue level of the nurses, and more. It is not only a complex non-trivial process, one with a propensity for sprouting errors, but it is also hugely tedious, and an impediment to the optimal allocation of resources. ROSTmastER has various guidelines from NABH and the Indian Nursing Council (or other regional bodies) regarding the nursing duty hours baked into the system, thus making the process of shift allocation a matter of mere minutes.
Patient Allocation
The conspicuous display of the nurse's experience level and the patient's acuity level makes it highly convenient to find an appropriate match between them. The acuity levels are also color coded to give a visual representation of the complexity of the case load for a nurse.
In addition to patients, you can also allocate special assignments to nurses, such as the responsibility of the crash cart, the high risk medicines, admissions, discharges or transfers of patients, and more.
NPR Monitoring
It is very important to check at all times that adequate nurses have been assigned to every unit/ward of a hospital. The ideal nurse-to-patient ratio (NPR) for a particular unit depends on several factors which can be estimated in advance. However, in reality, oftentimes the actual ratio in comparison exceeds the ideal one. Unless something is done to bring the actual NPR back closer to the ideal NPR, attending nurses will eventually become overwhelmed and exhausted and may become prone to committing human errors. This will adversely affect the quality of patient care.

Summary & Reports
The records of nurse allocation remains stored in the database and can be retrieved at any time for audit purposes. No need to spend valuable time to manually prepare documents for each such audit. Summaries are also available for each nurse detailing their monthly statistics, including their shift breakdown, total duty hours, the number and type of patients assigned, and more.
You can also export every record into Excel files for offline use.
Nurse Application
Nurses have their own Android-based application (web app also available) from where they will be able to check all their current and upcoming shift related information. Through the app, they can also apply for their leaves.
